2 Year Program / 6 Unique Modules / $15 Per Hour
Following successful completion of this two year apprenticeship you’ll be well positioned to confidently apply for and accept roles in multiple areas of the hotel business including supervisory and entry level management.
In your Accounting and Finance module you will be exposed to, responsible for and gain an understanding of; Accounts Receivable/Accounts Payable, Cash control procedures, Internal Audits, Financial statements and Period End reporting.
Our HR & Training module will expose you to recruiting, on-boarding, talent selection, training and employment assistance.
Our Facilities Maintenance and IT module will have you as part of our Rooms Preventive Maintenance team. You will also work as a Guest Request Tech to assist and understand troubleshooting, guest service recovery and project management. The IT portion will interact with our IT manager on systems maintenance, certification and troubleshooting.
In Sales and Events, you will see the flow of customer acquisition from a prospecting, negotiation and execution vantage point. You’ll understand the mechanisms of sales and revenue generation from goal setting, PACE tracking and funnel management.
At the heart of hotel business is our operations model. Here you’ll be exposed to our guest interactions and service delivery from a warm welcome at check-in to housekeeping and laundry, public space management and a fond farewell and thank you at check out. You’ll also be learning the business management of the largest departments in the hotel from scheduling, inventories, chemical handling, controllable management and productivity.
In your F&B module you will work both Front and Back of House roles as well as developing customer service and supervisory skills, revenue and goal tracking, customer acquisition through social
media and financial controls.
